The Academy of St Thomas was founded in 1973 and has been promoting high-calibre concerts every year in the region. Led by Paul Clarke since its formation, the orchestra has developed into one of the countries leading ensembles of its kind, attracting players from all over the Eastern region and a large audience following. The orchestra promotes three concerts most years and is in demand for accompanying choral societies. Concerts have been widely acclaimed for their high professional standards and exhilarating performances under the direction of their principal guest conductor, the internationally renowned Christopher Adey. |
